In order to prepare the visually impaired and other persons with disabilities as small entrepreneurs/business, VIEW Foundation has set up a Training Center at Dinajpur. The center provides the selected persons 3 weeks’ need-based training and after successful completion of the training each of them is offered a non-refundable financial grant to the beneficiary of Tk.30 to 40 thousand as capital to run the selected trade/business. Every year 30/35 persons with disability receive the training and grant. Their performance is closely and regularly supervised and monitored. Under the project, so far a total number of 160 persons from Dinajpur, Munshiganj, Kishoreganj and Khulna have received the training and financial grants for their small business.
ভিউ ফাউন্ডেশন প্রতিবন্ধীদের ক্ষুদ্র ব্যবসার মাধ্যমে আত্মনির্ভরশীল হওয়ার জন্য প্রশিক্ষণ এবং আর্থিক সহায়তা প্রদান করে থাকে। ভিউ ফাউন্ডেশনের এ কার্যক্রম ২০১৪ সালে দিনাজপুর জেলায় শুরু করা হয়। উত্তরণ প্রতিবন্ধী সংস্থা এ কার্যক্রম স্থানীয়ভাবে তদারক এবং বাস্তবায়ন করে থাকে। পরবর্তীতে রংপুর বিভাগের বিভিন্ন জেলার প্রতিবন্ধী ব্যক্তিদের এ কার্যক্রমের আওতায় আনা হয়। ২০১৬ সালে ভিউ ফাউন্ডেশন দিনাজপুর সদর উপজেলার টেক্সাইল বাজারে প্রতিবন্ধী ক্ষুদ্র উদ্যোক্তা প্রশিক্ষণ কেন্দ্র স্থাপন করে। এখানে ১০-১২ জন প্রতিবন্ধী ব্যক্তির বিনামূল্যে থাকা, খাওয়াসহ ৩ সপ্তাহ ব্যাপী ক্ষুদ্র ব্যবসা প্রশিক্ষণের ব্যবস্থা আছে। ২০১৬ সালে এ কার্যক্রম মুন্সিগঞ্জ জেলায় শুরু করা হয় এবং ২০২১ সালে সিরাজগঞ্জ জেলায় কার্যক্রম সম্প্রসারণ করা হয়। এ পযর্ন্ত ২৫০ জন দরিদ্র প্রতিবন্ধী নারী ও পুরুষ ভিউ ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রশিক্ষণ এবং আর্থিক সহযোগীতা পেয়ে ক্ষুদ্র ব্যবসা ও গরু পালনের ম্যধ্যমে জীবিকা নির্বাহ করছে এবং তাদের আয় দ্বারা পরিবারের ভরণপোষণ করছেন। শুরুতে একজন প্রতিবন্ধী ব্যবসায়ীকে ১০,০০০ টাকা এবং পরবর্তীতে কয়েক ধাপে মোট ৪০,০০০ টাকা প্রদান করা হয়। যাকাতের অর্থ সংগ্রহ করে এ কার্যক্রমের পরিচালনা করা হয়।
